| Barbara Jennings, CEO of the prestigious St. Jennings hotels, has three months to decide whether she should close her hotel in Manhattan or cut back on costs by firing some of her employees. An already difficult decision becomes that much harder to make once Barbara meets her younger employee, Jennifer Caffey, and is instantly obsessed with her. Thrusting her hotel's conundrum to the back of her mind to focus on seducing sweet and innocent Jennifer is easy, but when she realizes her feelings for the young woman are more than just play, suddenly Barbara is faced with much bigger problems. Does Jennifer reciprocate Barbara's feelings? Does she have the courage to breach the huge gap that exists between their lives and risk a relationship with Barbara? More importantly, will Jennifer hate Barbara when she finds out she may be the one person responsible for saving or ruining Jennifer's life?
I absolutely loved this book. I loved the narration, the writing style, the plot development, the characters, and most importantly, the conclusion. I was very pleased at how the narration of this book gives us insight into more than just one character's mind. It was a great surprise, for instance, those brief moments where we see things from Mike's point of view. And more impressive yet, was how Ms. Grant kept her witty dialogue well in check with her complex third-person narration. The plot is very well-developed, and the pace is actually quite perfect. In other circumstances, I would be skeptical to believe that the events of the story would realistically happen all within a couple weeks, but in this case it is very convincingly done. I was a bit disappointed at the typos I found in the text, for they did detract my attention from the story a bit. Finally, all the characters, especially Barbara and Jennifer, are delightful, real, dynamic, and just plain lovable. The sex scenes are explosive hot, and all the intrigue and passion in this book combust into a very satisfactory and complete ending. If you love a good F/F read, or are open to the idea, you have to get Lovestruck.
