| What is Colin MacLaughlin to do when his six brothers are in major need of an overhaul from the tops of their heads to their tips of their toes and everywhere in between? Well.. Hire a wife, of course! Who else could whip these boys into shape? Colin has been responsible for raising his brothers and now that they are grown, he feels that it is time for his life to begin. Not wanting to leave them without the tools necessary to survive, he hires Kathryn "Kat" Carlton to work her "magic", although he never thought it would be in the literal sense.
Kat Carlton life is just the way she wants it, well sort of. She is a witch, who owns a dating service agency and her matches have been perfect. She would prefer to have an increase in business, and for her sisters to leave her love life alone, everything would be perfect. Lila is determined to see Kat close her business and to be married off to a warlock, then she wouldn't need to "worry" about her any longer. Kat is not being swayed to Lila's way of thinking and when the perfect opportunity walks through her door, Kat jumps on it or him to be exact. Colin hires Kat to be his wife while she works on his brothers' makeover and in return he will pretend to be her fiancé to keep Kat's sisters at bay. It seems like this deal was made in heaven, until Kat meets Colin's brothers. This story is a witty, entertaining, laugh-out-loud book. The hijinxs between Kat and the brothers were hysterical and Kat made certain that she trumped them each time. Colin is a definite alpha-male and he was in for some rude awakenings in how to deal with a woman, such as Kat. The sexual attraction between Kat and Colin was hot, sizzling and showed their personality quirks as they navigated the pretense that was their "romance". It was fun to see how Fate throws a monkey wrench into their life plans by way of six he-man brothers, two meddlesome sisters and one false suitor and entertained you till the end.
