The last six months have not been easy for Katherine. Her sister disappears, her boyfriend drops out of sight, and she herself has been very ill. Now her boss is making her do an interview with Ben Forrester, a renowned photojournalist - and her ex-boyfriend. The very same man that disappeared 6 months ago without a word, taking with him her heart and soul.

Ben Forrester is known for his ability to avoid the press and the last thing he expects is his agent to call and tell him a magazine reporter is coming up to where he is staying in the wilds of northern Canada. Knowing his former love's profession, he hopes that this reporter isn't Katherine. He is so very wrong and now that they have been tossed together, he thinks that maybe he can convince her to stay. Can they deal with all the misgivings and mistakes of the past? Ben has to tell Kat why he left her in the first place; just when she needed him the most.

Can they overcome the obstacles in their way? Will they be able to forge a path together once again?

Jan Janssen weaves an all-too-real story of love with all the common misunderstandings, and failures to communicate. Ben is a super-dynamic character with a past that haunts him, along with a successful career that can never make up for what he has lost. Kat is strong and emotional with her own misgivings and mistakes. A great story for everyone that has not had a romance go as smoothly as one would hope, but in the end the love shared makes up for all the heartache.
