Ms. Roberts did a fantastic job with this book. Laney and Cooper are a perfect compliment to each other. While at first Laney thinks she is weak and unworthy, she learns from Cooper that she is actually stronger than she thinks. In order to believe in herself and what Cooper keeps telling her, she must learn to overcome her fears and build the confidence needed to stand up and fight for what she wants. This brings home all the things that many of us deal with in our daily lives. The way Cooper and Laney interact with each other shows the give and take that is in every relationship.

Not only are the love scenes hot enough to scorch, there is an element of danger and mystery throughout the book that makes you wonder when the other shoe will drop. Getting to know all of the characters in this book, I hope Ms Roberts is planning on telling their stories because I want to read them over and over again. Overall, this is a great book that has everything from love and caring to danger, mystery and challenge. I would recommend this book to everyone who loves shifter stories. However, it is not for the faint of heart.
