Slade Colter has wanted Jessie Benton since she was sixteen years old. However, he bided his time and when she turned twenty-one, he planned to make her his. Jessie had plans of her own though and when she realized she was alone with Slade in his RV, she made her move. They shared a passionate and intense weekend of lovemaking together. Love was in the air for Slade and Jessie but then unforeseen circumstances forced Slade out of Jessie’s life. The lies he told her have stayed with her for five long years, so when he comes back, determined to make her his again, she balks.

Jessie is no longer the innocent and artless young woman he knew. She’s faced the pain of losing him once before and doesn’t think she can do it again. But Slade is just as determined to win back the only woman he has ever loved, the past be damned. In this battle of wills and love, who will come out victorious? Or will their renewed love instead be the true prize for these characters?

Loving Lies is a passionate and utterly erotic romance from master Lora Leigh. This is one author who knows how to not only bring tears to the eyes, but how to make you smile and laugh and fall a bit in love yourself. Slade is an utterly alpha male and he isn’t about to let Jessie go again. His persistence is incredibly sexy, just as Jessie’s reluctance to get involved with him again is heart wrenching. These two go through an emotional wringer, but there is plenty of heated action to go along with the plot. Lora Leigh proves that poignancy and eroticism can go hand in hand with her latest story, Loving Lies. I can only hope she has plans for a few of the secondary characters introduced in this story.
