| Scarlett Rose wakes up at the bottom of a cliff and is realizing she can't remember how she got there. In the process of trying to get her wits about her, she spots a gorgeous cowboy and attempts to get his help until a few of the local wildlife get in her way. Scarlett next wakes in a large masculine bed and is being looked after by a very handsome doctor. Beautiful men seem to be everywhere on this cattle ranch and even though she is confused, the scenery just keeps getting better and better. The Lenox brothers can't believe their luck as one by one they all get a smell of Scarlett. How can their mate just fall into their lap? Who tried to push her off the cliff?
Loving Scarlett is the first book in the Scarlett Rose and the Seven Longhorns series. I have read many shifter books but this is my first Texas longhorn shifter book. I enjoyed the new venue and meeting all the characters who, for the Lenox brothers, are nicely described. This story introduces us to Scarlett and the situation she finds herself in. The story flows at a good pace and we often feel for Scarlett who is both confused and overwhelmed. Between the Lenox men and Scarlett, who both begin to have memory flashes, we see parts of the mystery surrounding how she fell from the cliff. And in the mean time, Scarlett becomes more acquainted with all the sexy men on the ranch. Going from a virgin to a libido in overdrive, Scarlett has more men to satisfy than most women. Seven Lenox brothers are Scarlett's mates. She is now the center of their world and sexual adventures. Lola Newmar has created a good start on this series and I look forward to the next release called Leo's Crown. I would like to see how Scarlett handles all her mates, their sexual demands and learn more of the mystery of who wants Scarlett dead.
