| Due to a nuclear fall out, Lara must leave the Dome City. As a policewoman, she still has all the instincts she had when a cop at Dome City. The thoughts of leaving the safety net of her home to wander about in a ravaged land full of crime, where the word law is not really in ones vocabulary, she positions herself for any action. It was more important now since she was on a search to locate her brother, Jack, also a policeman. When she meets an enigmatic man, only later to be befriended by an enchanting wolf, Lara feels she may have found peace. Of course this wolf is like no other. Will, wants to establish an order to rule over the werewolves and become their leader. Since being discarded by his own kind, he wishes to find a way back to help them. He feels that bringing their city back to life will be most beneficial. Will finds incredible strength in Lara and would like for her to be his life-mate. He feels she will be quite advantageous in his proposal for the werewolves. As Lara continues searching for Jack, Will can only hope to convince her to join in with his proposition, that is more than just a pipe dream, as they battle the odds against them.
Loving the Wolf has a way of engaging the reader and keeping them on the edge of the seat until the final word is finished. It is like an adrenalin rush all in one gigantic read, and loaded in punch that kept this reader glued in this futuristic, post-apocalyptic world. Ms. Treanor fashions characters that jump off the pages. Lara is strong-willed and most determined, while Will is seasoned with passion and a certain charm that draws people to like him. The strength they seem to draw from the other ignites between them and the outside world stays the same, as everything is lost when the two are in each others arms. And there is so much more to come, as Lara and Will work to construct an action plan that surely will be explosive. Ms. Treanor takes a determined heroine and a rare werewolf and blends chemistry that soars.
