Just the thought of her made him hard with need. Her spirit showed fire and passion flowing in her blood. She had awakened something in him so savage, so dangerous, he had never felt before. But who had killed her parents?

Stephanie Burke puts a whole new twist on Vampire lore. She is a very talented and imaginative writer. This action packed tale will have you jumping at every shadow. You will watch as Dark goes from being an inexperienced woman into a strong and capable leader. There are facets to this story that will surprise and captivate your imagination. There is also a humorous side to this story that will take you by surprise. It will have you laughing so hard it will bring you to tears. I was taken by surprise, and I’m sure you will be also, to find out who is behind the plot to stop Lucavarious and Dark.

I’ve read and loved vampire lore since I was a young girl. I truly loved and enjoyed this new version to an old tale. I hope Ms. Burke will continue this story. I’m very curious as to what the future may hold for Lucavarious and Dark. I give this story five hearts. I will be checking out more of her work.
