| Two years ago Beau Luckadeau had a one night stand with a woman he can't forget. He's engaged to marry someone else but his dreams are still filled with his Amelia. Milli Torres believes she was only reacting to a broken heart when she gave her virginity to Beau at a friend's wedding. So why does she still get the same feelings she did that night every time she touches him?
Carolyn Brown pens an exciting romance between two people who seem to crave what they have but Milli runs as fast as she can away from her feelings. No matter how Beau proves he's perfect for her and her daughter she can't shake the doubts she feels. Ms. Brown makes this one of those tales full of strong characters who are full of human weaknesses with their strengths. The extended family at the Bar M and Lazy Z ranches are a group most of us would love to have for our own family. Surrounded by all the accoutrements of the modern world these families bring back old fashioned values with common sense. Beau and Milli both seem to come from families who cherish one another. They're not afraid of hard work or good fun. This is one of those rare books where every person in it comes alive. We can picture them in our mind and almost hear them as they share wit, wisdom and love. There are sections that will make the reader laugh out loud and some that may bring you to tears. We want to give Milli a little push as much as the elders do when she seems unable to make a choice that seems so right. This is a book that holds our interest from first page to last.
