Luke Walker is at the end his rope when he wanders into the church looking for help. He is almost broke and cannot find work because he has had to care for his newborn daughter since her mother left her with him. When Dr. Morgan Gallagher first sees Luke he is attracted to him, but he also sees a man in need of help. Morgan offers Luke a place to stay and help with his daughter in exchange for help around his ranch. While Morgan was attracted to Luke from the first, nothing can become of it because Luke is straight. Isn't he?

This is a sweet tale of two men who help each other when they need it most and get so much more than they thought they would in return. The story moves smoothly and keeps you interested in the characters throughout. The author's writing of Luke and how he deals with the feelings he starts to develop for Morgan is perfect. Luke is a person who is not afraid to explore his feelings and generally makes no excuses for who he is, except when he is trying to explain his actions to Morgan. The character of Morgan is sweet but he has a tendency to make things harder than they need to be. There are some sexy m/m situations, most are tender romantic scenes between the two men. Nothing especially explicit or offensive and it all fits in so well with the story. There is nothing awkward at all. This would be a great book to introduce a person to m/m fiction. I have always enjoyed this author's writing. She always seems so spot on with how her characters deal with the situations they are facing. This story is must read for those who like uncomplicated yet interesting romances.
