| Sinopee lives in a world shattered by the wars of 3009. The people,
like the world itself, are brown and drab, living a colorless
existence. But Sinopee's life is different. Once a year, she can
travel through a mirror portal into another world: a place filled with
lush, green grass, beautiful trees, and Lust.
Luster and his people are magical beings, with unique gifts and talents of their own. But such abilities are considered rebellious by the Titans, who are closer to capturing them than ever before. When Luster and Sinopee find their way into each other's arms after a year of separation, their passion is explosive. But could their love cost them their freedom when the Titans finally catch up? The first in The Luminaries series, A Man Called Lust is a unique adult fairy tale. Set in a wondrous, magical world filled with sexy, intriguing beings, this fast-paced story succeeds in offering a lively, sensual read. Lust is a gorgeous example of a hero. Loyal, driven, protective, and sexy-as-sin, it's easy to see why Sinopee would be so eager to abandon her drab existence to be with him, and why she's so distraught at the prospect of leaving him behind once their yearly encounter is over. The secondary characters are also well developed, and I hope Ms. Burke has more stories set in this world in store for us.
