Raggar is a vampire and sees the woman ingest the poison and waits for someone to come and save her, when no one shows up, he knows it is only a matter of time before she dies. He has a better plan, to make her his companion and when she is ready to turn her into a vampire. He must first rid her body of the poison and then get past her defenses. He knows that Selean is having a hard time dealing with everything, but he has been watching her for a while and knows they are meant to be together. This book starts off interesting, but really turns into another dominant male role. Raggar likes to be in charge of everything and everyone. Selean at first is oblivious to what's going on and then she doesn't seem very shocked over the entire vampire thing. The love scenes are hot and deal with quite a bit of BDSM. Adventurers will want to give this one a go, but those who prefer their romance more tame may not.
