Created by man and now ostracized as deviants, Lycans and other genetically enhanced people fight for the right to live, amongst other humans. After a battle that destroyed the brutal regime, Dragana, a mercenary and Cristoval leader of the resistance are lost. Dragana died from her many wounds and Cristoval missing.

Dragana died or so she thought. Waking up screaming, cold and in pain, she finds herself in strange place. Cristoval, captured and brutally tortured, refused to give up. Thrown together in a sick experiment, they escape with their enemy in hot pursuit. United, a bond between them forged, desire explodes. Can love survive? When Dragana, with little regard for her own life, is bent on revenge.

Carnal is the 3rd novel in Nathalie’s explosive Lycan Warriors series. It stands alone. But you really won’t want to miss out on reading Book 1 Feral and Book 2 Primal. Like the previous two novels, Nathalie’s hard-hitting take no prisoners style of writing is ever present. Dragana is rough, mean and loves her custom-built weapon, she fondly calls ‘Peanut’, which works well with her code name ‘Valkyrie’. She’s tall, muscled, and her bitchy diatribe had me snickering. Only a strong man for this lady. Cristoval, leader of a resistance, is such a man. There is a price on his head and he’s evaded all efforts to capture him. He’s strong, enigmatic and a hero. When these two join forces they explode off the pages, he knows exactly how to handle the prickly Dragana.

Characters from the two previous novels make guest appearances and add to the continuity and a teasing shady new character gives the reader a tantalizing glimpse of a future novel. One can hope.

From start to finish this novel is fast, thrilling and with a high body count. Love scenes are primal and as hot and incendiary as the discharges from their weapons. Loved it. If I want thrilling adrenalin rush of a read, then I grab a Nathalie Gray book. I just know she’s going to deliver and she certainly does in Carnal.
