Lyric is a detective, but not the usual sort because she's a pet detective, and one of the best. When she sees a notice in the paper about a woman getting her dogs stolen in the park, she knows she has to help her. Lyric has special senses and occasionally a case calls to her and she can't refuse. When she meets the woman and her grandson, she knows she has to help. Not only because of the old lady, but also her delectable, single grandson…

Kieran is a cop and thinks that he has more than enough resources to solve this case, without some pet detective getting in the way. The fact that the man attacked his grandmother and stole her dogs has got him hopping mad. When he finally gets a look at the pet detective that he thinks is ripping off his grandmother, he can't believe how attracted he is to her. Little does he know that it's about to become much more than just an attraction.

I had a good time reading it Lyrics Cop. There was non-stop action throughout the story, and I was surprised at how involved I got in the book. Jory Strong's writing ability had me laughing out loud at times, and Lyric is a great character. She's strong and feisty, and she is wildly attracted to Kieran. Kieran is a strong alpha male, who is strongly attracted to Lyric and determined to keep her safe despite herself. There was a lot of chemistry between the two, and the sex had some mild Bondage that spiced things up a lot. Who knew that being a pet detective could be interesting and dangerous?
