There was never a doubt in Maggie Madison’s mind about what she wanted to do with her life. Maggie’s mom died when Maggie was just a small child, then her father dropped her off at her aunt’s house and never returned. Feeling alone and abandoned Maggie made a vow to help as many children as she could to never feel as unwanted as she did. Maggie started The Small Miracle Shelter, a group home to help get children off the streets. Unfortunately running a group home was not cheap and required a lot of community donations. Most of the community loved Maggie and didn’t mind donating to the shelter except for Mr. Adam Fuentes AKA “The Ogre”. Maggie’s partner Delta would not even ask Adam for a donation anymore but Maggie didn’t give up so easily, she would just hound him until the only way to get rid of her was to give her a donation.

Adam Fuentes has worked hard his whole life. Adam’s father built their business from the ground up and when he passed away Adam took over. Nobody ever handed them anything and he didn’t approve of giving anyone else a handout either and that‘s what he told Maggie right before he insulted her and told her not to come back anymore.

When Adam’s niece ran away from home Adam knew the one person who could help him find her was the same person he insulted, Maggie Madison. When Adam showed up at Maggie’s door telling her what happened, she didn’t hesitate to help. As Maggie and Adam search for his niece, they start to see another side to each other, a side they would both like to explore a little more. When Adam wants a real relationship Maggie is not sure she is willing to take the risk of having her heart broken again.

MADISON’S MIRACLES is one of those stories that just touches your heart from the very beginning. Maggie and Adam are such strong characters that they seem to bring out the best in each other. The secondary characters bring this wonderful story to life as they touch your hearts. Joye Ames has done a great job in creating a story that any reader would enjoy.
