This was a seriously sensual trip to the past. The character development in this story was fantastic and the settings breathtakingly described. I am sorry to say that it just wasn't what I was expecting from this new line from the publisher. I thought I was going to get a Regency romance with a lot of sexual tension yet very little contact however this story while not explicit was borderline erotic. I did not enjoy the modern slang and I found this to be a bit too sensual for my expectations. I was surprised by some of the more "forward" language of the gentlemen. I adored the Lord Ravenscroft character and hope to see him get his own story. I would highly recommend this story to anyone looking for a sensuous historical romance because while it was not the sweet traditional story I was expecting it was filled with great characters.
