The problem is, there is a woman that he is very attracted to, but he's afraid to go after her, because he doesn't want to repeat the experience, or hurt her. After all, she's merely a mortal, and who knows what would happen?
Magick Men: A Shot of Magick was definitely a book worth reading. A short story, it still had all the elements of a longer story. I thought Lachlan was great, I could almost feel his frustration with the situation. Evan was a strong woman, who wasn't afraid to go after what she wanted. I truly enjoyed the interaction between the couple, and I hope to see more in this series. I wish there had been more explanation of the world that Lachlan and Evan live in, but I have a feeling that there is more to come in this series. Truly a good short story, I can't wait for the rest of the series!
