| Rosenwyn “Rose” Tremain is an accountant sent to find out why a certain little Cornish bar is not making its mortgage payments. What she finds is Niall O’Connor, an Irishman with a sexy body, a brogue and magic. Niall is the brother of the bar owner and seems to be the only one with any common sense but Rose is on a mission to solve the bars problem and then spend the rest of her time looking for her father. What Rose doesn’t know is that she has ancient fairy blood, that she is the last female in her line, and the only one who can rescue her people. Niall has his own secrets to hide and he isn’t going to let the sexy little accountant uncover them. But neither can stop the magic linking them together and their undeniable attraction.
The Magic Knot is a cute tale of mystery, magic, and betrayal. Rose is completely ignorant of her heritage and ignorance may get her killed. Niall is quick and intelligent and figures out what is going on with Rose but has no idea what he should do about it. Helping Rose could undo everything he has set in place to save his family from a vengeful fairy queen. Niall knows who Rose’s father is and knows that finding him would not be good for Rose but Rose is a very stubborn woman. Rose may be very practical but she also reads the tarot cards for advice and sees both Justice and Betrayal in Niall’s cards. Her heart is telling her that Niall is special but her mind knows that he will betray her in some way, what is she to do? And this is just the beginning of the story! I was enchanted by the magical story and intertwined links that connect the main characters. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this tale as the story unfolded. The tale is contemporary and part of the magic is the juxtaposition of the current times with the ancient beliefs. The story has it all; revenge, love, pain, passion, treachery, salvation, and justice. If you like magical tales, you will not want to miss The Magic Knot! I hope Ms. Taylor has more stories like this planned!
