Army Special Forces Major Blayne Forbes was permanently stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado. He was sent back there from his latest deployment to recuperate from injuries received. His best friend, Graham Teagan, was also at Fort Carson. He was going to talk to him and try to refocus on the important things in his life. Blayne was determined not to allow his circumstances to overcome him. He ran into Graham’s sister as he was entering the building.

Jemma Teagan hadn’t had a date since she was introduced to the Major two years ago. She couldn’t get Blayne out of her mind. When he almost passed out in front of her, and since her brother was not in his office, she insisted on taking Blayne home so he would be safe. When she got him into his apartment, things got interesting.

Ms. Agnew has written a great book about a couple who thinks they are in lust but readers can tell it’s really loves. How they can end up with a happily-ever-after seems unattainable. Agnew’s characters are strong, independent people who know basically where they are going in life. Her supporting cast, in this book, are almost non-existent. However, they are important in their impact on how these two focus on life.

This love story dealt with emotional trauma faced by our soldiers today. It also shows the effects of the family members left at home and how they cope with their soldiers being in harm’s way. This fast-paced, emotionally-charged book did a great job with both aspects. The sensuality was over-the-top and, definitely not for the bashful.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a great, explicit romance. It has a fabulous storyline—not just the sexual parts. I think you will be glad you grabbed this one. Kudos, Ms. Agnew!
