Lauren Dane's conclusion to her Chase Brothers series is a compelling piece of writing on every page.

Tate Murphy has always had a crush on Matt Chase. But she also has always known that he is way out of her league. Aside from the fact that she is not the leggy and super slim type of woman he usually dates, her family is definitely not on the same playing field as the Chase family. Tate owns her own business with her sisters and helps take care of her family, and does it all with a smile on her face, but there is some history you can never escape from.

When Matt rescues Tate after she was hurt in an accident, he cannot seem to get her out of his mind. And then, she brings by some cookies to the firehouse, and all of a sudden, Tate Murphy is on Matt's mind 24/7. They form a solid friendship, which Matt is more than ready to take to the next level. It seems it is Tate's qualms holding them back, but, not even she can resist the smiles, laughter, and camaraderie they share, not to mention the sizzling chemistry! Tate and Matt have a lot of work cut out or them to make their relationship work, but with a growing love and respect, nothing can stop them.

What a terrific conclusion to this series! It has all the hallmarks of outstanding romance. A fine, gentlemanly and very sexy hero, a heroine who is determined, strong, and loving, along with a supporting cast to bring the joy to a crescendo. Of course, their match is not perfect. There are a lot of issues on Tate's side that she has to work out, both with Matt's help, and the help of her family. Money, family responsibilities, a rocky past and much more prove to be powerful barriers that Tate and Matt must work through. But, they do it with love in their hearts and that makes all the difference. While this story does ramble into extremely sappy territory at times, it is still a very strong and satisfying romance. I know I was sad leaving the Chase family behind, especially after seeing the diehard bachelor of the bunch finally meet his match. Sexy, romantic, tender and tough, Making Chase is a beautiful story.
