Scott Huxley is in a bar drowning his sorrows when Andy Smith finds him. One of the biggest stars in Hollywood, Scott is making a fool of himself and is too drunk to know it. He's marrying Andy's sister in a couple of days so rescuing his future brother shouldn't be much of a hardship. It turns into some difficult choices for both men after a night of lust Scott can't even remember in the morning.

Pepper Espinoza does her usual fantastic bit of writing with this story of the surfer dude and the big time star who's trying to hide his sexuality in a supposedly heterosexual marriage. The author gives us two men who are opposites in ways that should keep them apart. Still, like so many couples, their differences seem to complement one another in a way that helps both men face their future in a way that feels right.

Ms. Espinoza crafts the characters in a natural way that draws me to her work every time I see her name on a book. Both men feel a sense of responsibility as people. Andy may not work a nine to five job or pick the right men to fall in love with but he's an honest and honorable man. Scott is willing to do whatever it takes to keep his career until he realizes that some things are more important.

Great dialogue enmeshed in some serious situations and some fun is another trait of this author's work that never lets me down. It takes a few surprises to help the men work through their problems but they flow naturally through the framework Ms. Espinoza weaves into the story. This is another great read from one of my favorite authors.
