To keep her busy Jo convinces Melissa to join the acting group with her. Melissa figures that will be a great chance to get closer to Lawton too. Since the moment she saw him it was like she had found the hero in her dreams. So when she starts getting weird calls and her dreams start turning into reality Lawton is the one she calls for help... Melissa doesn't remember what happened 12 years ago when she was just a child. But Lawton remembers all to well carrying that beaten and sick child out of the cabin she was being held in by her kidnappers in South America. When the past shows up in Linda Vista for revenge Lawton and Melissa must join together to save their lives and their love..... The Man in Black is a great keep you on the edge of your seat suspense. Even though you always know who the bad guy is you never know what they will do next. I loved how Melissa could always soften Lawton when he was trying to be so bad. This is the first book I have ever read by Mrs.Morgan and I will definatly be on the look out for more....
