Shelley Sykes has been kept on the back burner for ten years by her married lover. Now that she's graduated from a Cordon Bleu chef school in London she's off to Florida to work for wealthy families who can afford her services. On her first day off work her bicycle comes in contact with an armadillo who gets the best of it. She doesn't hurt nearly as bad when Sergeant Curtis Avery pulls up gives first aid to her injuries.

Daisy Melton pens a fun tale of accidental meetings turning into romance. An armadillo on the bike path, burglar alarms tripped, and other chance meetings keep bringing Shelley and Curtis together. Of course the author throws in her culinary skills and the man is hooked!

Many well done characters populate the book to make it even more interesting. Ms. Melton does some excellent scenarios with the butler and others that are a hoot. This book is a little bit predictable but that doesn't make it any less fun.
