Marietta has lived alone since she was widowed at a very young age. She is a teacher at a school for orphans and does what she needs to to live a respectable life in the village. Until she witnesses the neighbor's dog Monty being hit by the local lordling's coach...

Marietta can't allow Monty to suffer, so she bundles him up and takes him to the nearest doctor. Adam, the doctor in question, may be the answer to more than Monty's injuries.

This is a nice romp, a romance between the village widow lady and the village doctor, with all the small town charm that implies. Oh, and a large dose of sexuality. Ms. Pape has managed to convey the combined lust and love that two people feel when they finally find the right one for them. Marietta is a girl we can all identify with, nice, kind, and cute but ordinary looking, and Adam is unadulteratedly hot.

I enjoyed the story immensely. It's always nice to find a gorgeous guy who appreciates a girl for all of her qualities (including her curves). The story ran smoothly to its conclusion and offered a nice commentary from Monty the dog. I'd recommend the story to anyone who likes a straightforward romance with some great bedroom scenes to spice it up.
