| When Abby Clumm's best friend convinced her that a vacation in a remote cabin in Alaska is just what she needed, she had no idea that she'd be there alone. Then again things don't always work out as planned, especially for Abby. Now she's in the middle of nowhere with a shotgun at her side and a very large, extremely hungry animal on the other side of a very flimsy door. Tarik Evert doesn't know what's wrong with him. What he does know is that ever since he caught Abby's scent on the wind he's been driven by an animalistic need to be near her. Waking up shivering and naked on her front porch, Tarik doesn't know what happened, but he does know that the need to possess her is still present. If she will only let him inside…..
Mark of the Beast is a sex and suspense filled story that whisks you away to the Alaskan wilderness and refuses to let you go until the last sentence. Abby's the ultimate city girl and has difficulty acclimating to the Alaskan wilderness. When she finds Tarik on her front porch her first thought is how much fun it would be to have a vacation fling. She's a woman that has given up on relationships and has resolved herself to the occasional emotionless fling. While the story moves quickly and keeps the reader engaged, I found that the development of the relationship between Abby and Tarik is both unbelievable and advances too fast. The basis of their relationship is undeveloped and had me wishing for more. The sex between Abby and Tarik is intense, sizzling, and highly erotic. For a fun and suspenseful read, Mark of the Beast will hit the mark every time.
