Marked by Passion is a great start for Kate Perry's new paranormal Guardians of Destiny Series! I loved Gabe; she is feisty, intelligent, sexy, and knows how to use her assets to her best advantage. Rhys is all bad boy and exactly the kind of guy that flips all Gabe's switches; too bad she can't trust him. The sparks from these two characters almost leap off the page it is so electric. This is one of those stories that draws you in at the beginning and keeps you entertained and involved to the end. Someone knows almost from the moment Gabe receives her artifact and powers that she has them and the danger escalates with each day she keeps it. When her brother shows up telling her he'll gladly relieve her of the burden because he doesn't want her hurt, it is so tempting to just turn everything over to him. But Gabe is just wary enough to keep her from doing anything rashly -- then she loses the artifact... When she finds it again, she'll find out who is her friend and who is her enemy and the betrayal is heartbreaking. If you love action filled paranormal romance, you will enjoy Marked by Passion. I can't wait to see what Ms. Perry has planned in the sequel!
