| Cara works for best selling author Chad Harwood. In the years they have worked together, they have established a respect for each other and a friendship that can’t be rivaled. When Cara’s relationship with Reece Andrews, her live in beau fails, Cara turns to Chad for a place to live until she can find a place of her own.
Chad wants to protect Cara from the negative media Reece could bring about. His offer of Marriage in name only is his solution. A quick wedding while out researching their next locale, stymies the media rush, but not the determination Reece has to win her back. Married now, Chad and Cara have to deal with learning to live together and dealing with feelings that have developed between the two. Can a marriage in name only work? Or are these two destined to give into their passion and have a real marriage? Marriage of Convenience was a great story that had me turning page after page. I was captivated from the beginning. Ms. Hofman has crafted a story that puts the reader right in the mind of the characters and gives enough reason to root for the couple and hate the antagonist. Complicated relationships add meat to this story and make it definitely worthwhile for those who enjoy a good romance. My only problem with this story was the language was a bit formal. If this was the desired effect of the author she was very successful, however from a readers standpoint it came off as cold and somewhat too formal for two people who are close. Although this was an issue for me, in the end it did not take away from my overall enjoyment of a wonderful story that I would recommend to other lovers of romance.
