| Mallory Harrington was a thirty-two year old divorcee with a five-year-old son, Joshua. Her ex-husband, Toby, had cheated on her and gottens a divorce. She had struggled to put him through law school. The only good thing he seemed able to do was spend time with Josh. Because of her spiritual beliefs, Mallory did not think she could remarry. Her two closest friends tried to discuss it with her, but she was adamant. Then she decided to have her nose "fixed" because it had bothered her for her entire life.
Dr. Seth Whitman was a plastic surgeon, 38, and had parted ways with his fiancé. After she broke up with him, he hadn't met a woman who interested him until Mallory walked into his office for a consultation. When their appointment was completed, he asked her to go for coffee just in case she had other questions. Craver's book about divorce and remarriage was a poignant reminder of the sadness of the consequences which result. She created unique characters that faced several problems as well as the ethicalness of surgeon/patient involvement. Throughout the entire book, they had to deal with ex-husband and his girlfriend as well as the little boy who constantly prayed his parents would reunite. This book was realistic and emotional. All the characters played dynamic parts in the story. I recommend this book to everyone. I certainly enjoyed reading this author.
