| Stella Bright is your average Planet Manhattan girl in 3535. She works, shops and goes out with for drinks to unwind. Enter interstellar agent Indiana "Indy" Jameson, a kidnapping and an illegal Martian bride-purchasing ring and Stella's out of her league. Indy and Stella must team up to uncover the culprits involved and ways to help these women escape their Martian husbands. Stella thinks it will be a slam dunk.
The Martian Affair kept me in stitches! Stella and Indy's adventure was action packed and hilarious. I was fascinated by the author's development of this universe and found it exceptionally unique. I could not put this book down as the suspense kept me turning the pages. I loved the espionage aspect, especially viewing it through Stella's inexperienced eyes. Stella was a hoot and kept the story fresh and fascinating! Indy's focus and experience was a perfect foil to Stella's lack of skill. He was serious, sexy and everything you'd want in a secret agent. His guidance to Stella during their mission lead to a couple of zany adventures and many steamy scenes! While I found the plot pretty predictable, the amazing characters and their antics engaged my interest enough to make the story very worthwhile. The story also has some twists and turns that I did not expect. However, I found the superb characters the driving force of this story. Ms. Stiletto introduced some fascinating secondary characters that hopefully will get stories in the future. Her supporting characters were almost as humorous as the main characters and kept the story moving at a very good pace. While this was the first book I've read by Ms. Stiletto, it will definitely not be the last. I will definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a funny, yet sexy, story!
