Chaos is surprised and attracted when his captive shows pluck that none of the other women ever had. She actually seems to enjoy his attentions at times and fights him at others, which is confusing. He finds himself falling for her… but is that exactly what she’s waiting for?

When I picked this up, I thought it was going to be a great read. After all, it has all the things I normally love in a book, plucky heroine that doesn’t back down, Alpha male, and a situation that looked explosive. Unfortunately, the story line didn’t appear to pull things together. The writing felt choppy and unorganized, Tessa could have been a great character but not consistent. For example, one minute she wanted to dominate Chaos, the next she claimed she liked being dominated and it felt like it was jumping around. Chaos is the same way, initially an Alpha male, he ended up seeming immature and then Alpha again. The second story of them rescuing her son was distracting; they should have stuck to the original story line. Maybe that could have been another book in a series or something. All that being said, I did like the story and the characters, it had a lot of promise and was a great idea.
