Although a bit predictable, this is a well-written and sexy historical romance. Ainsley and Dechlan fit together well despite all the anger and feelings of betrayal. I enjoyed the glimpses into their shared past and the children that they were. Although Dechlan tries to be hard, he can't really pull it off and it makes him all the more endearing. Ainsley and Dechlan's passion is apparent and their sex scenes are very steamy. Dechlan's friend Charlie and Ainsley's neighbor Trevor have an interesting encounter and I hope they get their own story. If you're looking for a engaging and sensual read, complete with sex in a castle dungeon, then you won't be disappointed with Mastering Lady Macalister. (Warning: brief m/m encounter).
