| Max Cress and Anastasia Cooper have been best friends for years. He has watched Ana go from one failed relationship to the next, looking for the perfect guy -- a dominant who can fulfill her needs.
Max hasn’t told Ana that he is a dom, but decides it’s time to risk their friendship by revealing his secret. He offers to train her, and at first she refuses, feeling angry and betrayed. Why did Max keep his lifestyle a secret, knowing what she’d been looking for all these years? She knows Max is exactly what she wants, however, and so agrees to his offer. But Max is in love with her, and what Ana sees as temporary, Max intends as permanent. Max is the ideal dom -- sexy as hell, able to take charge, and sensitive enough to appreciate his sub’s strengths. Ana wants to be the ideal sub, but she has a lot to learn. She's a strong but vulnerable heroine and I really liked both her and Max. There is a great cast of secondary characters. Max’s very sexy brothers and their wives, his secretary (the poor thing, she’s heard more than she ever wanted to from behind Max’s closed office door), Ana’s sadistic ex, and a host of other minor characters, all well written. The sex is erotic and emotional. I got to know Max and Ana well through their love scenes, and found myself totally immersed in the fantasy. Fast-paced dialog and great descriptions round the story out. I could really picture the scenery in my mind as I was reading, which to me is so important. Brynn Paulin tells a scorching tale of love and lust in the world of BDSM. Master Me is a sexy and satisfying book. I definitely recommend it!
