|Emma is in town looking for her best friend Chloe. She was going to stay with her as they opened their own practice but Chloe never showed up and just disappeared. Emma files a missing person report but is not satisfied with what the police are doing and goes to Club Submission hoping to find more information. She is completely out of her depth but is drawn to Zane. Zane talks to her shortly before later coming to her rescue. Zane shows her some of what goes on in the club. Emma is both turned on and confused by it, she likes but fights liking it.
The characters are well written throughout the story. I enjoyed getting to know them and seeing them work everything out. The characters have distinct personalities that are shown well. Secondary characters do not have a huge part in the story so you don't get to know them too well but they are still written well. There is action in this story. Emma is looking for her friend's kidnapper/killer and so does some crazy things. Then there is also what goes on in the club and everything that Emma and Zane have to work out. There is plenty in this story to catch the reader's attention and hold it throughout. The sex is explicit and frequent. Considering the storyline it is not overly frequent though. Emotion is built quickly between the characters in this story. The situation allows the characters to become close fast. There is BDSM in this story; it is a big part of the story. The BDSM is not hardcore and everything is consensual and done with both partners in mind. There were parts that I really enjoyed dealing with this and others not as much. It never took from the story for me though, I enjoyed it all. This is the first in the series and I will be checking out the others for sure.
