| Newly divorced, Maggie Pearson is in desperate need of a vacation. The last few years of her life have been hell, and she's determined to go back to a happier time in her life. What a shame the happiest time she can remember is young love and a broken heart when Gabe Brashiers failed to call her when she left Maui for the mainland.
On her first day there, she runs into him again, and he makes her mouth water as much as it did when they were in college. This time she isn't going to waste most of her time here drooling from afar. It had taken up to the last night before she left to get up her courage to seduce the man. It wasn't going to take as long this time. Maui Rekindled is a cute story that leaves you with a warm happy feeling. There were one or two inconsistencies in the story that pulled me out of the story. For example, if you're going to make a big deal out of a sprained ankle, then make a big deal out of it. For a few hours she is in pain and favoring that foot, but then as soon as they get a little kinky, there isn't another mention of her ankle. Not even later in the story. I wish I could heal that fast! I don't want to seem like I'm nitpicking, but this did pull me out of the story and lessened my enjoyment. I would recommend this as a fun, light read, though. I would definitely give another story by this author a try.
