Maverick Brac left home because of a preference for men. He has formed a pack with fourteen other men who have the same preference. Cecil was trapped in an abusive relationship with no way of getting out.

The day Maverick decides to take a break from the pack and indulge his love of Chai tea, he meets Cecil working in the coffee shop where he is getting his tea. He never thought he would meet his mate in a coffee shop or that he would be human. Maverick rescues Cecil from his abusive lover, but someone in the pack is trying harm Cecil, can Maverick save him before it’s too late?

This is one of those stories that after you have read it, you stop and ask yourself "why?", "why did I read it?", "why did I even like it?". There is no clear answer for that question; all I really know is that I did. The plot is not new and/or original, in fact it tended to be choppy in some places and it was difficult to tell how much time was passing between events. That being said it was an enjoyable way to pass the time, the best thing to say about the book is you will love the characters. All the characters are quirky and likeable and basically make the story worth reading. While Maverick does tend to be serious one of the bunch, all the characters including Cecil, have individual personalities and offer a witty and humorous dialogue, which keeps the story going where the plot line itself seems to fall short. There are also plenty of m/m situations that range anywhere from tender to downright hot. The series has drawn me in and I have read other books in the series and they all run along the same line and actually seem to be getting better and funnier. If you are a fan of good mindless fun and do not worry about how it is delivered to you, you will enjoy this book if not the series.
