The two gods, Quiabelagayo and Backlum-Chaam, need to find the next Queen for the rebirth of their god-brother. As Ah-Cuxtal's time of his periodic rebirth into humanity approaches, Patrice will be the instrument in effecting that. When she refuses to accept the truth, they too are wondering if she could accept them beyond their status of being the gods of pleasure and pain and of male sexuality. Mayan Destiny is a well researched legend come to life. I was literally transported into the body of the main character and wishing that I had my own god at my beck and call. Mayan Destiny is a quick intense read that will leave you wanting more of the story and will not leave you disappointed. I do want to caution the reader that there are scenes that involve ménage and group intimacy. I look forward to reading more of Ms. Stone's work in the future.
