| Madison Blake is recently divorced and bitter at her ex-husband for getting
an earring, leaving her and taking everything but the hand vac. Her friends
tell her to get on with her life but after ten years of marriage it is not so
easy. But she does try, bravely leaving her apartment to go with her friend
Corrine to what she thinks is a kid's party. Sure it is. There are people in
cute animal costumes all around, right?
But the party turns out to be very adult in nature as a guy in a bunny suit explains to her - he's new to this too. Cole, the bunny's real name, turns out to be a quite a guy. Though she's sure there is no future in it, Maddie gives him her business card. It's the start of exciting new beginning for Maddie. One that includes a divorcee therapy group, karaoke, booty calls and Happy Meals... What a great story! Maddie is woman with real fears, real issues and a fabulous sense of humor. Cole is sexy, sympathetic and hey, what more do you need? There is a cast of supporting characters who are wonderful and that we will see again. Once you read this story, you won't be able to wait for the next in the series. Dakota Cassidy has a sensational voice and style and the first installment of her Ex-files series is sexy, emotionally charged and very well written.
