Mayse and Jayse Farrell were the twin daughters of multi-millionaire Anthony Farrell. He had ignored his daughters while he lived; in death, he got his final vengeance! In order to inherit his money, both girls had to marry within 12 weeks and produce a male heir within 18 months. Mayse, the most outspoken one of the twins, was furious! If only one of the girls met the requirements, neither would inherit anything. What kind of man would do this to his own daughters?

Mayse’s best friend, Steve, and his wife, Sherry, invited her to come visit them; while there, they introduced her to Sherry’s brother, loner horse rancher Brice Mallory. Mayse decided not to approach him about the terms of the will, she went back home and, later, and Brice followed her and requested that she marry him. Of course, he would gain monetarily ($25 million) when the terms of the will were met. Of course, Jayse’s future was in turmoil; however, her situation is secondary to Mayse in this book.

This book is an incredible tale; I was unfamiliar with the author before reading this book; however, I will, indeed, seek out her work in the future. Ms. Cindy Hassell has a unique technique in her writing style. She took this interesting story, which was a rather lengthy novel, and weaved it into a manuscript which was extremely entertaining. Mayse’s Cowboy is a story which allows the reader to experience the heated attraction between Mayse and Brice; it is so well written that it actually seems as if the reader is present within the story. There are quite a few sub-characters and they are a real asset to the story. There are no dull places in the book and I had a really hard time finding a place to stop reading. I hardily recommend this book. The plot is very interesting, the characters are loveable and the novel is remarkably told. The ending is predictable; however, there are some surprises! I guarantee that you will love this story.
