Evelynn finds herself fantasizing about her husband’s handsome young apprentice Daniel. Her fantasies soon become reality as they find love in one another’s arms. Melting Iron is an emotional tale that takes the readers back to a time when women were expected to obey their husbands and accept their lot in life. In this story readers will follow alone with a character that refuses to live by everyone’s expectations especially when they make her life unbearable. Readers will both admire and fear for the character of Evelynn as she stands up against what she believes is wrong and reaches out for what she wants. Readers will experience her loneliness and her shame as she deals with her husband and their marriage. They will also share in the passion that is awakened between Evelynn and Daniel.

This erotic tale that deals with a woman that knows what she wants and seeks out that which will make her happy. Readers will thrill in the excitement and heat of passion as the scenes of shared desire are played out for their entertainment. Explicitly graphic and daring scenes of shared intimacy are described in delightful details that stimulate the reader’s imagination and makes for easily visualization.

This story also deals with a man that does not understand love and that finds enjoyment in the pain of others. Because of this readers are warned of the violence contained in the story. The character of the husband will cause mixed emotions. It is easy to dislike him for his cruelty but something about him seems so sad. This is a man that needs to be made to understand love. I can only hope there is a sequel that will explore this character more.

Readers are encouraged to look for Melting Iron by Ann Cory for the emotions and passion that are brought out in the story. A fast moving creative tale with an exciting story line and rich characters that capture the readers’ interest and holds them captive to the very end.
