Author Laurann Dohner seems to have the gift of bringing together imaginative fantasy, a burning passion with an edgy feel and sexy characters that sizzle for a sensually romantic adventure that is impossible to put down. The marvelous storytelling combined with the high level of emotions makes for a non-stop delight and a sure favorite with readers who have been following this series. Ms. Dohner seems to have the ability to add depth to her characters by conveying their thoughts and action in a manner that seems to bring them to life. Both Iron and Dawn are well-drawn and intriguing characters that sneak into the reader's hearts. Iron might be an alpha within the cyborg race but there is an underlying vulnerability and gentleness to him that seems to create a sense of humanity in him. Dawn is passionate, funny and a firecracker. Sparks fly instantaneously between Iron and Dawn and as the sexy shenanigans between them heat up so does the powerful connection that draws them together binding them in a bond that can't be broken. The supporting cast works wonderfully creating an additional depth to the main characters as well as the story that seems to enhance it. Quite a book! Ms. Dohner is at the top of her game with Melting Iron!
