| Most of the male colleagues in the hospital Kerry-Lee McKenzie works as a nurse in, call her McCool behind her back. Kerry has been burned in a previous relationship with a doctor and is determined never to get involved with a doctor again, never mind people call her “McCool”. In fact, she doesn’t want to get involved with anyone at all. When she meets Ben, she is outraged by his arrogance, but finds it extremely funny that a doctor like him faints at the first sight of blood. Despite her personal rules, she finds herself getting fascinated with him. Is this love or a fleeting affair?
Benjamin Grant (Ben) has got a good role in the hottest soap on TV. He would be playing Dr. Wade Webster in a medical saga. So to get a feel of the role, he pretends to be a doctor in the hospital that Kerry works in. Even though she is famous as McCool, Ben knows that Kerry is a volcano underneath all that ice and he is determined to be the man who melts her. Only, he does not realize that the feelings he has for her are something more complicated than lust until he is in too deep. Can he hope that Kerry will forgive his deception and accept him? Melting Ms. McCool is a laugh riot inside a sensually wrapped package. The romance is peppy and naughty. While the character of Kerry is good hearted with a sassy mouth, Ben is enjoyable as the actor in disguise of a doctor. Especially, the scenes when Kerry wickedly holds needles in front of Ben, just to make him faint, made me grin delightedly. Jennifer handles the combination of humour and sensuality very well and comes up with a romance that is too good to be true. Once I picked up this book, I couldn’t stop until I finished it. This one is a you-have-to-get-it book!
