| Dakota James was tired of sharing her love with Sean McCabe, a cop, and his wife. For over a year he had promised his marriage was over and he was leaving her. That never happened and finally she told him to leave. When he stormed out of her place, he forgot that he had left some incriminating evidence hooked to her computer. She didn’t know what it was, but she put it in her purse and took it with her when she went to Memphis for the weekend to visit her best friend, Sarah.
Ethan had lost his wife to cancer thirteen months before and he felt his life was over. He tried to spend time with his friends, but never even noticed another woman until he saw Dakota that afternoon in the park. Ethan was so unfamiliar with these sparks of interest that he didn’t even get her number. He had no idea she was there only for the weekend. Ms. Allie Boniface has penned a book which has a little bit of everything anyone could desire. She used her main characters to create not only a match made in heaven, but to also throw in danger and suspense. She had two adults whose lives were falling apart, but they were awakening at the same time. The Sean that Dakota knew was recreated into the stranger who stalked and haunted her from their small hometown to Memphis. This book was not only fast-paced, but packed with action, both legal and not. The entire timeframe for this book was One Night in Memphis. Don’t let that fool you. There was a lot of action in that one night! I highly recommend this book. It is well written, highly suspenseful and one great read. And just wait for the sensual parts. There’s just nothing I don’t like about this book and that includes the unexpected ending.
