Pamela Johnson creates a battle of the sexes in McCudahy’s Merger. Devin and Caroline battle wills, wiles, and sexual attraction on and off the job site. Perhaps what makes this story stand out from every other romance story on the market is the wonderful sense of family that Ms. Johnson builds into her plot. Just as love is important to the protagonists, so is family. Caroline is searching for the family she has always longed for and Devin is attempting, though of course he doesn’t realize it at first, to make his own mark, his own family. Intelligence and desire spark off the pages of McCudahy’s Merger. This is a genuine tale of attraction between two people who are determined to find their place in the world. Devin and Caroline have a story to tell and it’s a fabulous one.
