| Sara Templeton has always felt a strong connection to her past. She decides to visit her ancestral home of Semple Manor to find out more about their past. When she arrives she meets Justin Coleborne and cannot help but feel she has always known him. When she finds herself in another time, will her connection to Justin be the same? And can he help her conquer the evil that wants to end her life?
Merlin's Daughter is a little confusing in the beginning. There were several paragraphs I would have to read twice to understand the meaning. The characters were also a little difficult to follow, especially when they were back in time. The differences in the way Sara would think and the way she would speak was a little hard to accept. She would think about not knowing what time she was in and what was going on, but would answer the question and carry on a conversation just like Sara Semple. As the story progressed she was completely Sara Semple and little was mentioned of her life in the future. Did she just forget it? Sara and Justin's relationship did not progress, they just loved each other with no falling involved. It was a little awkward. But, toward the end of the story it really got exciting and progressed into a nice action story. The part of the story set in the 1600's was interesting with detailed descriptions of people and settings. The workings of every day live for Sara Semple were entertaining to read. It did not contain any sex but did have a time defying love. The characters for the most part were creative and well written. It ends well with love in the air.
