| Lord Hawking is not a very nice man. He treats both his servants and his wife despicably. No one grieves when he's found dead at his desk. Rather than a heart attack from his overindulgence in the finer things in life, Inspector Callum is investigating his death as a murder. Jack deWinter has a dream that Lady Hawking can help him with. First they have to find the real murderer and clear Adelleās name.
Mary O'Connor pens a tale good for any time of year. A little mystery, a bit of magic, and some excellent characters keep this book interesting and fast moving. The more we hear about Lord Hawking and his cousins the easier it is to dislike them. Jack and Adelle have one of those love at first sight romances that just gets better with time spent reading about them. Ms. O'Connor has a way with words that crafts every scene in a way that we can easily visualize. This is a unique story that will make you smile.
