Inspirational romance

Emily Alden moved to Ellicott City but brought her old attitudes with her. Emily had decided she would never marry and, therefore she would never have children. Her past had made a horrific impression on her—both her parents and her ex-fiancé, Jonathan. She trusted the Lord to take care of everything but she wouldn’t allow Him to have a say concerning her future relationships.

Cory Russell couldn’t help but wonder why crazy people had to move into his town. He could tell by the article in the newspaper that Ms. Alden was not worthy of his time and attention. He wasn’t timid either. He was very vocal and told everyone how he felt about her owning a new business in town.

Ms. Loree Lough has written a great, emotionally charged, fast-paced book about two people whose past had determined their intentions concerning marriage and family. Of course, life seldom turns out the way people plan it—especially in great books. Obviously opposite in their views, these two main characters were constantly surprised by the other. The chemistry between them was powerful. The Lord was working in their lives and their relationship.

These two people had been hurt dramatically and their objectives were concrete. The way Lough ended this book was so exciting. I have to admit I didn’t expect the happily-ever-after to turn out as it did. This author has a unique way of sharing her beliefs without being overbearing. I highly recommend this book to anyone.
