Helen was sent by the Thoth agency to check on a former employee who had left to get married. Even though she thought the request odd, she went hoping to further her career. While observing Grace with her husband Carter, she couldn’t help but see Spencer, Carter’s cousin, since he was often in their bed as their third. Being werewolves, all three knew they were being watched. Spencer couldn’t help but be attracted to Grace after observing her, umm, ‘taking care of herself’ after being a voyeur to one of the ménage evenings.

Spencer tracked her down and arranged a meeting that she gladly went to, hoping to get more information for the case. If she happened to get some of Spencer also then that would be OK, as long as it didn’t get back to the agency. Well, she got Spencer, and it was more than either one bargained on.

This was a great follow up to a previous book, but don’t worry if you haven’t read the previous book – this one is quite capable of standing alone. Ms. Jordan has created very likable characters who are not afraid to show their emotions, to say nothing of the very intense lovemaking. I certainly hope to read more about this clan of werewolves as well as any other stories by Ms. Jordan.
