Laura Fox is taking care of the founder of Connor Corp. who is ill. She is no nurse, but a reporter hot on the trail of a major story. Laura never expects to find out that vampires are real and she is among them. Even more disturbing is the feelings she has begun to have for Toby Wise. Laura soon finds herself on the biggest story of her life and in the middle of a murder mystery and the bodies are adding up. Can Laura accept Toby for what he is and give her heart to a vampire?

Toby Wise smells a spy and knows someone in his company is ferreting out information. He suspects Laura, the nurse who is taking care of the founder and sets out to prove her as his spy. Toby soon realizes how wrong he is about Laura and before he knows it she is in the middle of the fiasco that has become his world. Now they must figure out who is killing innocent people and why before they become the targets. Can Toby hold his desire for Laura in check?

Rosemary Laurey is one of my favorite authors because I know once I get started on one of her books I can’t stop until its finished. Laura is after a story and her bravery to do whatever it takes to get it is admirable. Finding out that vampires exist is a real shock, but she recovers like a trooper and moves forward. Toby is the charming and irresistible hero who is suspicious of Laura in the beginning, but as the story progresses they become closer and their feelings began to show. A beastly killer adds to the danger and mystery and keeps the reader on the edge of their seats. Rosemary Laurey is a terrific author and her creative characters and dark plots will keep me coming back for more.
