| Caitlyn has become obsessed by the serial killings in her city by who the press has nicknamed the Slasher. She was attacked a year ago and lost her memory and she's convinced that she's one of the few victims that has escaped the killer. The way she was found is almost exactly the killer's way of doing business, except that he made one mistake… he left her alive. One of her prime suspects has always been Aidan Devlin, who owns a popular nightclub. His wife was supposedly murdered by the killer, and while he was found with his wife's dead body in the alley, he walked away free. Caitlyn is sure there's more here than meets the eye, if only she can get close enough to find out.
Aidan Devlin has grieved for his wife for a long time. When Caitlyn walks into his club he's astonished that she believes that he killed his wife. Doesn't she know who she is? I thought this story was interesting, but I didn't think that it had the suspense and action that I thought it would. Most of the time was spent trying to figure out how to get Caitlyn's memory back, so it tended to drag at times. Caitlyn is a strong woman so I liked her character, because she wasn't about to back down from something that made her very nervous. Aidan was definitely someone I wouldn't mind getting to know a little better; I thought he was a great hero. Overall the entire story kept my attention and was enjoyable to read.
