Sylvie is a college co-ed who decides to do a pagan ritual to honor Neptune. Not wishing to pay a tribute in the buff, that is the way she hears the Pagan accept such ceremonies. So she heads to an inlet at the beach to do a naked dance, while the moonlit sky serenades overhead, to perform the tribute to the guardian of the waters. She wishes to pay thanks to Neptune for saving her and her friend, Abbey last year when Abbey was knocked unconscious when they went out on a boat. She is surprised when Neptune doesn’t appear but instead a merman-type person. Llyn tells Sylvie that he comes from the Lord of Neptune’s court and brings her a special reward for her ceremony. When she hears what kind of practice she performed, she is more than stunned. Llyn is one buffed merman who is endowed with all the right equipment to pleasure any woman but when he leaves his mark on Sylvie she wonders will she ever be the same.

Communing with Mighty Neptune is an enchanting read that sizzles after Sylvie does her little ceremony. Sylvie is a delightful character that the reader becomes to know and enjoy. When gorgeous merman Llyn arrives, he is quite the hero. The story is a romping good time as it spins over into the ancient Greek and Romany mythology. Ms. Rayne takes a couple and adds some hot fire to their impact and inflames the pages. She makes Sylvie bright, smart and irresistible. She also puts the reader’s thoughts at the beach enjoying all the soft sounds of the water that everything has to offer. Ms. Rayne paints such a picturesque beauty in the moonlight that makes this a splendid read.
